Day 1. Wednesday, January 03, 2023:
Transatlantic flight to Tel Aviv
Day 2. Thursday, January 04, 2023: Tel-Aviv, Tiberias
Welcome to the Holy Land! Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, you will be greeted at the airport by your guide and will transfer to your hotel for overnight and dinner.
Day 3. Friday, January 05, 2023: Caesarea Maritima, Haifa, Cana, Nazareth - Tiberias
We begin our journey with a visit to Caesarea Maritima. Here we will visit the Roman Theater, Herod’s Palace & the Crusader Citadel. This is where St. Peter baptized the Roman Centurion, Cornelius, and his family. St. Paul was also imprisoned here for two years. We then continue to Haifa to visit the Church of Stella Maris. Afterwards, we continue to Nazareth to the Basilica of the Annunciation, the place where the Angel appeared to Our Blessed Mother and announced the birth of Jesus, where we will also celebrate Mass. We will have lunch at the Holy Land Restaurant before we continue to visit the Church of St. Joseph, built where the carpentry workshop of St. Joseph used to be. Our final stop of the day will be Cana of Galilee where we will have our married pilgrims reaffirm their marriage vows. Dinner and overnight will be in our Tiberias hotel on the Sea of Galilee.
Day 4. Thursday, January 06, 2023: Sea of Galilee - Tabor
The Sea of Galilee is rich in memories of the three years of Our Lord’s Ministry. The day opens with Mass on the Mount of Beatitudes, the scene of the Sermon on the Mount. Nearby, visit the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes, where the miracle of the Feeding of Five Thousand took place. Continue to the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter situated at the shores of the Sea of Galilee, where Our Lord appeared to His disciples after His Resurrection. Afterwards, explore the ruins of Capharnaum, including the ancient Jewish synagogue and St. Peter’s house, followed by a flavorful lunch featuring the traditional “St. Peter’s Fish”. Next, we will travel to Mount Tabor where Our Lord was Transfigured. Continue to Bethlehem for dinner and overnight
Day 5. Saturday, June 07, 2023: Bet Arabah – Jericho – Masada – Dead Sea Swim (weather and time permitting) – Jerusalem
We will begin our day at Masada, where the standoff between Romans and Jewish rebels took place. We will then continue to the baptismal site where Our Lord was baptized, We will then visit Jericho to consider the miracles of Jesus there and also view the Mount of Temptation. Time and weather permitting, we will stop at the Dead Sea and float.
Day 6. Sunday, June 08, 2023: Temple Mount – St. Anne’s – Israel Museum – Bethlehem – Shepherds Fields
We begin our day on the Temple Mount, holiest site in the world for Jews, and the third holiest site in the world for Muslims. We will then continue to the church of St. Anne's, location of the Pools of Bethesda (John 5), and the birthplace of the Blessed Mother. Here, we will have a chance to sing a song in this perfectly intact Crusader church. We will then visit the Israel Museum with it's magnificent archaeological displays and the Dead Sea Scrolls. We continue to Bethlehem where we will visit the Church of the Nativity, where Our Lord was born. We will then visit Shepherds Fields where the angels appeared to the shepherds and announced the birth of Jesus. Time will be given for you to shop. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 7. Monday, January 09, 2023: Mount of Olives – Mt Zion – Dormition Abbey - Wailing Wall - Via Dolorosa - Holy Sepulcher
We begin our day on the Mount of Olives with a panoramic view of the City of Jerusalem. We will also visit the Chapel of the Ascension and the church of the Pater Noster where The Lord taught us The Lord's Prayer. Walking down the Palm Sunday Walk, we will stop at the church of Dominus Flevit where The Lord wept over Jerusalem before we continue to the Garden of Gethsemani and the Church of All Nations. We will then continue to Mount Zion to visit the Room of the Last Supper and the Dormition Abbey. We will then visit the Western Wall. Continue to walk the Via Dolorosa on to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher before we continue to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 8. Tuesday, January 10, 2023: Flight back home
Today we board our flight back home with unforgettable memories.
